Ethiopia forces gun down a Somali official in Beletweyne Mosque

2, 2013 -Ethiopia forces attacked and killed today a Somali official from the local government of Betelweyne . The official was on his way to pay the Friday prayers at a Mosque in the centre of Beletweyne town when he was attacked.
The deceased official – Abdi Tuureye Ahmed ( Abdi Gute )- was in the hit list of the Ethiopian forces according to the locals because he has on several occasions accused the Ethiopian forces of killing Somali civilians inside beletweyne. Abdi was an employee of Beletweyne municipality .
Witnesses have told the local press that the deceased ran to the Mosque when he noticed the Ethiopian coming to attack him . The Ethiopians followed Abdi to the Mosque and gunned him down in-front of the worshippers .
Three civilian worshippers also received injuries from the attack and are currently being treated at Beleweyne Hospital, according to the reports.
Hiiran regional governor Mr . Abdi Farah Laganyo informed the press while visiting the injured at Beletweyne Hospital that the security forces are investigating the case and that anyone found guilty of the attack will be brought to justice.
Ethiopian forces had presence in many Somalia regions since Ethiopia invaded Somalia in Dec. 2006 . They were replaced by the African forces ( AMISOM ) few years ago , but the Ethiopian kept crossing the Somali border frequently to carry out executions such as the one that happened today .
